This section has information on the most frequently used vocabulary in Latin literature. For more information on how the vocabulary was identified, see the main menu “Vocabulary Home.” The vocabulary is divided into 16 groups, based in part on frequency and in part on groupings of similar kinds of words (see below). The first 6 groups contain almost all of the top 300 most frequently used words. The exceptions are some pronouns, which have been spaced out to avoid confusion.
